Dental implant gum disease showdown: which cleaner wins?

NCT ID NCT07393828

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares different interdental cleaning tools (like floss, picks, or brushes) to see which removes the most plaque around single dental implants in the back of the mouth. About 75 adults with early, reversible gum inflammation around their implant will use one of the devices daily. Researchers will check plaque levels and gum health at 1, 3, and 6 months to find the best way to prevent the gum disease from getting worse.
