New drug combo aims to boost radiation for head and neck cancer

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new drug called berzosertib (M6620) alongside standard chemotherapy (cisplatin) and radiation for people with advanced head and neck cancer that has spread to nearby tissues or lymph nodes. The main goal is to find the safest dose and check for side effects. About 43 adults with stage III or IV head and neck squamous cell carcinoma will take part.
