Long-Term kidney protection study launches for autoimmune disease patients

Summary
This study aims to understand how well the drug belimumab, when used alongside standard treatments in real-world clinics, helps preserve kidney function in adults with lupus nephritis over up to five years. It will follow 300 participants who have already started belimumab treatment to see if it slows kidney decline and reduces the need for dialysis or transplant. The goal is to gather long-term evidence on whether this treatment helps people maintain their kidney health.
