New drug trial aims to halt Early-Stage blood cancer

Summary

This study is for people with a high-risk form of smoldering multiple myeloma, an early stage of blood cancer. The purpose is to test a drug called belantamab mafodotin to find the safest dose and see if it can control the disease. About 30 participants will receive the drug, and researchers will monitor side effects and how well the cancer responds.
