Nudge study aims to boost cancer patient survey completion

NCT ID NCT06013176

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested whether sending reminders to cancer patients and alerts to their nurses could increase how often patients complete symptom questionnaires. 476 adults starting a new cancer therapy were randomly assigned to usual care, reminders with alerts, or remote monitoring with alerts. The goal was to see if these simple nudges improve survey completion and help doctors better track patient well-being.
