New knee repair technique challenges standard surgery

NCT ID NCT02664545

Summary

This study compares a new surgical method called Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair (BEAR) with the current standard ACL reconstruction surgery. It involves 100 young patients (ages 14-35) with recent ACL tears to see if the new technique works as well as the traditional approach. Researchers will measure knee stability, function, and recovery over 10 years to determine which method provides better results.
