Summary

This study tested the BD SiteRite 9, an ultrasound system that helps doctors see blood vessels when placing a needle or tube (vascular access). 149 people aged 1 year or older took part. The goal was to check if the device works well and is safe, to support getting it approved in different regions.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that the SiteRite 9 system is safe and effective for guiding needle placement into blood vessels.
What could go wrong
This is a completed post-market study focused on registration, not a test of a new treatment. The results may not change current practice.
