First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a new ultrasound system that helps doctors see veins and track the needle tip while placing an IV. The goal was to make IV insertion safer and more successful. 156 people aged 1 year and older who needed an IV took part. The study checked if the system could clearly show the target vein, guide the needle, and lead to successful IV placement with few side effects.
