New cancer drug enters first human safety tests

NCT ID NCT05378737

Summary

This was an early-stage study to test the safety and side effects of a new drug called BAT8006 in people with advanced solid tumors that had stopped responding to standard treatments. Researchers gave increasing doses to 216 patients to find the highest safe amount and understand how the drug moves through the body. The goal was to gather information to design future studies that could test if the drug helps control cancer.
