Summary
This study looked at sputum (phlegm) from 83 adults with cystic fibrosis who were hospitalized for a sudden worsening of lung symptoms. Researchers used genetic testing to find which antibiotic-resistant bacteria were present. The goal was to see if this approach could help doctors choose better antibiotics and improve recovery.
