Do back braces really help after surgery? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT02773134
Summary
This study tested whether wearing a back brace after spinal fusion surgery helps patients feel better. Researchers randomly assigned 43 adults who had surgery for worn-out lower backs to either wear a brace or not after their operation. They measured pain levels and quality of life at 6 weeks and 3 months to see if the brace made a difference.
