Summary

This study tested whether a drug called AX-8 could reduce how often people with unexplained or hard-to-treat chronic cough cough. Researchers compared AX-8 against a placebo in 108 adults to see if it safely lowered cough frequency. They measured coughs using digital recording devices over several weeks.
