Massive global study maps kidney injury in sick kids
NCT ID NCT01987921
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at over 5,000 critically ill children from around the world to better understand acute kidney injury (AKI). The goal was to learn how common AKI is, what puts children at risk, and how to predict severe cases. Researchers tested a new scoring system called "renal angina" to see if it could help doctors spot kidney trouble earlier.
