Avatar app aims to curb binge drinking and suicidal thoughts in young adults

Summary

This study tests a new smartphone app that uses a friendly avatar guide to help young adults (ages 18-29) who struggle with binge drinking and suicidal thoughts. Ten participants from the emergency department will use the app for 28 days. The goal is to see if the app is easy to use and if people stick with the research tasks, not yet to measure if it works.
