Summary

This study tests a medication called AV-001 to see if it can protect the brain in people who undergo regular dialysis. Many dialysis patients experience memory problems or mental fogginess. The drug aims to strengthen brain blood vessels and reduce inflammation. The trial will involve 60 adults on dialysis and compare the drug to a placebo using brain scans and blood tests.
