Ear device could ease debilitating POTS symptoms
NCT ID NCT07026643
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests if a gentle electrical stimulation on the ear (called auricular vagal neuromodulation) can help people with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). POTS causes a rapid heart rate upon standing, along with other symptoms like brain fog and fatigue. The study will randomly assign 30 participants to receive either the active stimulation or a sham (fake) treatment for 3 months to see if it improves heart rate, blood flow to the brain, and quality of life.
