First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether ear acupuncture, combined with artificial tear drops, can improve dry eye symptoms in university students. Fifty students with dry eye received either real ear acupuncture or a sham (fake) version, plus drops. The main goal was to see if the real acupuncture led to better symptom scores on a standard dry eye questionnaire.
