Hidden lupus: study aims to uncover why some patients are misdiagnosed

NCT ID NCT07350772

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at 400 people with lupus to compare those with typical symptoms versus those with unusual or 'atypical' symptoms. Atypical lupus can be harder to diagnose and may lead to worse health outcomes. Researchers will track disease activity and organ damage over time to better understand these differences and improve care.
