New heart mapping technology aims to better target irregular heartbeat sources
NCT ID NCT06960252
Summary
This study is testing whether a new high-density mapping catheter called OPTRELL can better identify the specific areas in the heart that maintain persistent atrial fibrillation (AF). Researchers will use this mapping to guide radiofrequency ablation procedures in 80 patients with persistent AF that hasn't responded well to medication. The goal is to see if this targeted approach leads to better long-term control of irregular heart rhythms compared to standard treatments.
