Heart procedure safety tested to protect nearby organs

NCT ID NCT06392932

Summary

This study aims to learn which of two heart ablation techniques is safer for the esophagus, which sits close to the heart. Researchers will compare a newer, faster ablation method against a standard method in 30 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. They will measure esophagus temperature during the procedure and check for any injury afterward using a small camera pill.
