NCT ID NCT06429475
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether using one inhaler (budesonide/formoterol) for both quick relief and daily control can reduce asthma attacks in South African children aged 6-18, compared to the usual separate inhalers. About 1,038 children with asthma who had an attack in the past year will be followed for 52 weeks. The goal is to see if a simpler treatment plan works better at preventing flare-ups.
