First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares a single steroid injection to a 5-day course of steroid pills for adults who come to the ER with an asthma attack. The goal is to see if the shot works just as well at preventing another ER visit or hospitalization within 30 days. About 182 English- or Spanish-speaking adults will take part, and their asthma control will be checked after 4 weeks.
