NCT ID NCT05337098
First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether two common artificial sweeteners, aspartame and sucralose, change how the body handles sugar in adults aged 40 and older who have prediabetes. Researchers will provide all meals for 8 weeks and track blood sugar levels continuously. The goal is to see if these sweeteners make blood sugar control worse, which could help guide dietary advice for people at risk of diabetes.
