First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of wire (lead) for an implantable heart device called an ICD. The lead is placed under the breastbone to help control life-threatening fast heartbeats. Nineteen adults with a high risk of dangerous heart rhythms will get the device and be followed for at least 3 months. The goal is to see if the lead is safe and works well before a larger study.
