Doctors map normal blood flow patterns during surgery
NCT ID NCT07340333
Summary
This study aimed to define normal ranges for a measurement called total arterial impedance, which describes how much resistance the heart faces when pumping blood. Researchers analyzed existing blood pressure and heart data from 437 adult surgery patients during stable periods of their operations. The goal was to create reference values to help doctors better understand this measurement when monitoring patients in the operating room.
