Calming scents and tunes tested to ease Kids' dental fears
NCT ID NCT05759286
Summary
This study looked at whether a blend of lavender and neroli essential oils, music, or both could help reduce anxiety in children needing a dental injection. 108 children aged 6-11 were split into four groups to receive either aromatherapy, listen to their favorite cartoon music, get both, or receive standard care. Researchers measured the children's anxiety levels, pain behavior, and vital signs before and after the procedure to see which approach worked best.
