Can a simple scent patch ease surgery side effects?

NCT ID NCT07281885

Summary

This study is testing whether aromatherapy patches can help reduce nausea and vomiting after joint replacement surgery. Researchers will compare scented patches (lavender-sandalwood or orange-ginger) against placebo patches and standard care alone in 159 patients. The goal is to see if these natural scents offer a simple, low-cost way to improve comfort and recovery after surgery.
