First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether smelling lavender oil can lower anxiety in people waiting with a family member in the emergency room. 120 adults who were not allergic to lavender and had no psychiatric issues took part. Their anxiety was measured using a standard questionnaire. The goal was to see if a simple, drug-free approach could help ease stress in a high-pressure setting.
