New drug aims to free patients from frequent IVIg infusions

Summary
This study tested a new drug called ARGX-117 in 54 adults with multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN), a condition that causes muscle weakness. Participants were already stable on regular IVIg treatments. The goal was to see if ARGX-117 could safely delay or replace the need for IVIg. The trial compared two doses of ARGX-117 against a placebo over 16 weeks.
