Summary
This study is testing whether having patients breathe argon gas during and after carotid artery surgery can protect their brain from injury. The goal is to reduce confusion, memory problems, and silent strokes that sometimes happen after these procedures. Researchers will compare outcomes in 100 patients who receive argon versus standard care.
