New arabic tool could help millions of women get diagnosed for heavy periods

NCT ID NCT07267611

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to see if an Arabic version of the SAMANTA questionnaire can reliably diagnose heavy menstrual bleeding in women aged 15 to 45. Heavy periods affect up to half of women and can cause anemia and lower quality of life, but simple diagnostic tools are lacking in many regions. Researchers will test the questionnaire's accuracy in 120 women to provide a cheap, easy way to identify those who need help.
