Surgeons test High-Tech AR glasses to target breast cancer
NCT ID NCT07003841
Summary
This study is testing a new augmented reality (AR) imaging tool to help surgeons locate and remove breast cancer tumors more precisely during breast-conserving surgery. It compares the AR system to the standard method of using ultrasound to mark the skin before surgery. The main goal is to see if the AR method is at least as good at helping surgeons remove the entire tumor with a clean margin of healthy tissue, which could reduce the need for a second operation.
