First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether augmented reality glasses can distract children and reduce their pain and anxiety during a tooth extraction. Thirty children aged 6 to 8 who need a baby tooth pulled will be randomly assigned to use either virtual reality or augmented reality glasses. Researchers will measure heart rate and use special scales to rate the children's fear and discomfort during the procedure.
