Swimming away symptoms: water workout tested for POTS

NCT ID NCT07182578

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether aquatic therapy (exercises in a pool) could reduce symptoms and improve quality of life for people with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Five adults with POTS completed 12 weeks of water-based sessions. Researchers measured heart rate, balance, and symptom scores. The goal was to see if the program was feasible and helpful, not to cure the condition.
