First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a 16-week adapted swimming program could improve behavior and physical skills in 35 boys aged 6-12 with mild autism. One group did water exercises twice a week, while the other group continued their usual school activities. Researchers measured autism-related behaviors, flexibility, and handgrip strength before and after the program to see if the aquatic exercises made a difference.
