Smartphone app and coaching aim to boost health in struggling rural region
NCT ID NCT04309461
Summary
This study tests a mobile health program designed to help adults in rural Appalachian Kentucky improve their lifestyle habits. The program combines a smartphone app, an activity tracker, health coaching calls, and small incentives to encourage eating more fruits and vegetables, eating less fat, increasing physical activity, and reducing screen time. Researchers are comparing this program to a stress management program to see which is more effective at helping people make lasting healthy changes.
