Phone app aims to empower teens battling sickle cell pain

Summary
This study is testing whether a special mobile app can help teenagers and young adults with sickle cell disease better manage their condition. Researchers want to see if using the app teaches helpful self-care skills, reduces pain interference, and improves quality of life. The study will involve about 270 participants who will use the app and report on their experiences over time.
