First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study aims to create and test new assessment scales that measure how well people with aphasia communicate in everyday life, including their use of gestures. Traditional tests focus on language tasks, but this research looks at broader communication skills like motivation, attention, and alternative strategies. The study will involve 50 Italian-speaking adults with language disorders after a stroke. The goal is to develop tools that help therapists set personalized treatment goals.
