First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests an inhaled version of the drug nintedanib (AP02) in 160 adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a disease that scars the lungs and makes breathing hard. Participants inhale the drug or a placebo twice daily for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if AP02 improves lung function and is safer than the current pill form.
