Scientists to track stent movement inside the body with every breath and heartbeat

NCT ID NCT07475260

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study will use special CT scans to see how the heartbeat and breathing move a new type of stent graft placed in the main belly artery. 25 patients with a complex abdominal aortic aneurysm will be scanned before surgery, at discharge, and at 6 and 12 months after. The goal is to understand if the stent moves too much, which could help improve future treatments.
