Could your nerves before surgery make you faint?

NCT ID NCT07450014

Summary

This study aims to understand if a patient's anxiety level before receiving spinal anesthesia affects their risk of fainting or having a sudden drop in heart rate and blood pressure during the procedure. Researchers will observe 1,500 adult patients undergoing surgery with spinal anesthesia. They will measure anxiety before surgery and monitor patients for fainting events to see if there is a connection.
