Shorter or longer blood thinners after leg artery surgery? new trial seeks answers

NCT ID NCT07076082

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking two blood thinners for 6 months after leg artery surgery is better than taking them for just 1 month for people with peripheral artery disease. The goal is to see if the longer treatment keeps the treated artery open longer without causing more bleeding. About 350 adults aged 45 and older who need or recently had leg artery surgery will take part.
