Medical first: doctors try blood thinners on rare bleeding disorder patient
NCT ID NCT07314983
Summary
This study is looking at a single adult patient with severe hemophilia A, a rare condition where the blood doesn't clot properly, to understand how to safely give them long-term blood-thinning medication. Doctors want to learn how to balance the risk of bleeding from the hemophilia with the need for blood thinners to prevent clots. They are using this detailed case report to gather knowledge that could help treat similar patients in the future.
