Do extra antibiotics prevent penile implant infections?
NCT ID NCT05100654
Summary
This study aims to find out if taking antibiotics for 6 extra days after getting a penile implant helps prevent infections. Researchers are testing this with 800 men who have erectile dysfunction and are getting a specific type of antibiotic-coated implant. The main goal is to see if the longer antibiotic course actually makes a difference in preventing infections that require another surgery.
