Summary
This study looked at whether stopping antibiotics early (before white blood cell recovery) is as safe as waiting until recovery in children with cancer who had fever and low white blood cells. 55 children participated. The goal was to see if early stopping leads to more complications like fever returning or infections. The approach could reduce unnecessary antibiotic use.
