Direct antibiotic shot to the bile duct: a new hope for faster infection recovery?
NCT ID NCT07407491
Summary
This study is testing if adding antibiotics directly into the blocked bile duct during a standard drainage procedure (ERCP) helps patients with a serious bile duct infection get better faster. It compares this combined approach to the current standard of just giving antibiotics through an IV. The goal is to see if putting the medicine right at the site of the infection improves recovery and shortens hospital stays.
