New drape aims to stop infections during joint replacement surgery

Summary
This study tests a special sticky drape coated with a germ-killing ingredient (chlorhexidine) placed over the skin during hip or knee replacement surgery. The goal is to see if it helps keep the surgical site clean and reduces contamination. About 179 adults having a first-time hip or knee replacement will take part.
