Immunotherapy combo may boost survival in rare head and neck cancer
NCT ID NCT03313206
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving immunotherapy (anti-PD1) before and after surgery, along with standard treatments, can help people with a rare type of melanoma in the head and neck area live longer without the cancer coming back. About 60 adults with resectable tumors will receive the drug combination, then surgery and radiation, followed by maintenance immunotherapy. The goal is to see if this approach improves disease-free survival compared to historical results with surgery and radiation alone.
