New IV drug aims to give dialysis patients a good night's sleep

Summary

This study tests whether a new intravenous drug called Anrikefon can improve sleep quality better than a standard oral medication (nalfurafine) in people with chronic kidney disease who suffer from severe itching during dialysis. About 50 adults on regular hemodialysis will receive one of the two treatments for 4 weeks. The main goal is to see which drug helps patients sleep better and improves their overall quality of life.
