First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether special ankle exercises could help people who had a stroke more than a year ago improve their balance and walking. 140 participants with moderate to severe leg problems did either the ankle training or standard care. The goal was to see if better ankle awareness leads to steadier walking and fewer falls.
